About Our Consultants
With two leading educators within their respective fields, our consultants provide the necessary guidance to develop and implement impactful and culturally relevant studies into K-12 school curriculum.
Veronica X. Valadez, President & Co-Founder
Veronica X. Valadez is as a lead member of Ventura County’s Ethnic Studies Now Coalition, the Ventura County Coalition for Justice, and XOCHITL LA (Xicana/o Organizers Cultivating Humanity and Indigeneity in Teaching and Learning).
“Being an educated woman of color and identifying with a culture that was only lightly covered in textbooks, motivated me to develop a more culturally relevant way of teaching.
This is why I co-founded this organization so that other children can see themselves in the curriculum they are exposed to and experience learning that values the cultural wealth they walk into the classroom with.”
Gabriel A. Orosco, ceo & Co-Founder
Gabriel is currently pursuing a doctoral degree with an emphasis in social justice and is a traditional Aztec dancer/activist/scholar who is passionate about cultural diversity, respect for all people, culturally responsive curriculum, and Ethnic Studies.
“I’m a product of the public schooling system in Southern California and recognize the need for culturally relevant schooling. Personalizing the educational experience will not only produce motivated students but more sensitive and educated adults.”
