The objective of this virtual Four Winds Ethnic Studies Institute is to honor the third world Liberation Front’s goal of cultivating solidarity among Native Americans, Chicana/os and Latina/o Americans, African Americans, and Asian Americans as school districts roll out Ethnic Studies programs throughout California to meet the new graduation requirements outlined in Assembly Bill 101.
Participants will learn the importance of implementing Ethnic Studies with fidelity to its principles and values, as well as about the historical contributions, struggles, and resistances of the four major ethnic groups the third World Liberation Front represented.
